The Warburton Trail
Cycle or walk the wonderfully scenic Lilydale to Warburton Rail Trail. The 38 kilometre trail follows an old railway line built in 1901.To cycle the track takes a good 3 hours one way.
The Waterwheel Centre
The Visitor and Information Centre is a prominent landmark, featuring a large replica of a water wheel used by the logging industry in the past.
Seven Walks from Warburton
Experience one of the many outstanding forest walks which radiate outwards from the town into the forests of Mountain Ash. Maps available from the Waterwheel. Varying degrees of difficulty. Some of the shorter walks – such as LaLa Falls are easy.
Cement Creek
Only 10 minutes drive on the road to Mt Donna Buang is the magnificent Rainforest Gallery walk – a great way to see beautiful heritage rainforest. Stride out onto the canopies of giant eucalyptus trees on the treetop skywalk.
Mt Donna Buang
A beautiful scenic, 20 minutes drive, rising to a height of 1,250 metres, it is the closest snow field to Melbourne. Attractions at the summit include BBQ's, walking tracks, toboggan runs, and a 21 metre tall lookout tower.
Upper Yarra Dam
Enjoy a scenic drive to the Upper Yarra Dam. Along the way spend some time sight-seeing – the Little Peninsula Tunnel, the Reefton Hotel, the Upper Yarra Reservoir Park and the Dam spillway.

The Yarra Valley is world renowned for wines. Along the Warburton Highway there are now 10 wineries with cellar doors, some also have restaurants. The closest to Warburton is only 10 minutes drive.
